LFW #2: Emilio de la Morena, Holly Fulton, Emilia Wickstead, Sibling, Jasper Conran | Autumn/Winter 2014-15: Ready-To-Wear

The first things I noticed about this collection were the amazing uses of fabric, colour and shape. Each look takes something conventional and turns it on its head, whether its the adding of a flamboyant pink ruffle onto a pencil skirt, an entire LBD made from velvet or a very futuristic shoulder pad on an otherwise fairly traditionally shaped jacket. Like the previous day's PPQ show, the fusion of timeless and futuristic has made for a startling but very fashion forward collection.

Undoubtedly one of the prettiest collections shown this season, Holly Fulton is continuing the gorgeous pastel trend we're currently in into the colder seasons, whilst also adding plenty of patterns. I adore the first half of the collection, whilst the second half shows some more experimental pieces such as the dogtooth dress and sheer layered trapeze dress. An all rounder for sure.

Clean and incredibly well cut, Emilia Wickstead has for the most part stayed away from the various prints we've seen across fashion season so far, instead focusing on plain block colour materials and fantastic shapes. The black coat with pale blue lapels is high on my lust list, as is the white dress-black coat ensemble. The chicness of the roll neck dress on the last row cannot be overstated, while the injection of more embellished fabric at the end of the show is refreshing, yet still in keeping with the overall feel of the collection.

I love the loose, distressed nature of the fabrics used across this collection. Crochet no longer has to stay on your unwanted chair throw; on your jumper, skirt, or even dragged down the catwalk with you, it is Sibling's fabric of choice this year. The middle look on the second row is stunningly boho, whilst the other more tailored looks maintain the same unique essence through the use of colour. Other than the legwarmers, this is a collection that I will definitely be taking inspiration from next season.

I think this is the most elegant collection I have seen so far this season. Simplistic, tailored and a stunningly minimal colour palette, Jasper Conran have absolutely killed it this time. I am in love with the spotted dress on the first row, as well as the black jumpsuit on the third. Every look exudes grace and poise, and I will certainly be channeling this look all year round.
