MFW #2: Just Cavalli, Prada, Ports 1961 | Autumn/Winter 2014-15: Ready-To-Wear

- JUST CAVALLI -
Modern, wearable and importantly for me, easy to imitate on the high street, the Just Cavalli show was full of fringing, suede and exciting hemlines. I really like the use of grey in combination with brighter colours in the beginning of the collection, whilst the rest plays host to gorgeous patterned trousers and dresses as well as some amazing outerwear. I am especially lusting after the blue and black dress on the bottom left, and I'm very happy to see that barely-there heels are here to stay for a while longer.

- PRADA -
I am very relieved to see a collection with some amazing coats. To say we're currently showing A/W, I feel like there has been a severe lack of winter outerwear on display, and this is something that Prada may have just corrected. Strict lines, boxy masculine silhouettes and oversized lapels, the coats are one of the triumphs of this collection, the use of sheer fabrics being the other.

- PORTS 1961 -
My love for monochrome is not fading at all, and this collection shows exactly why. Is there anything more chic than a simple black or white piece of clothing? The white coat is utterly stunning whilst the flowing chiffon skirts are also very pretty. The final look is also making me think that it might be socially acceptable to wear a 3 metre long scarf I've been hiding outside of my bedroom. Thank you Ports 1961!

Also I just want to apologise to you all that this is going up a day late, I have a 5000 word essay due in on Monday that I still haven't finished and its been taking up all of my time recently. Once it is handed in I will be back to reporting the day after the show photos have been released. I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
