Dennis Basso - Spring/Summer 2013: Ready-To-Wear

I must confess to have been very uneducated when it comes to Dennis Basso, and since looking at this show, I can only express my extreme regret at having not discovered him sooner. The pieces in this collection are astoundingly pretty, and my inner princess is in adoration. Take a look at sparkles, chiffon, and embellishment galore.

Ooops, think I may have just posted the entire collection. I feel that is justified - LOOK AT IT. I'm in love.

3.1 Phillip Lim - Spring/Summer 2013: Ready-To-Wear

Phillip Lim has for a long time been one of my favourite designers. I first spotted a dress of his that Kristen Stewart wore at the MTV Music Awards back in 2008, which I would probably still sell my soul for. His use of pattern has always astounded me, and this season's cut-and-paste approach has opened the fashion world's eyes to incoherence more than ever before. The street style patchwork nature of the collection is undeniably chic; here are my favourite pieces.

AMAZING.

Rag & Bone - Spring/Summer 2013: Ready-To-Wear

The Rag & Bone S/S '13 show embodied the brand's image, which David Neville described as "a British girl in New York", backstage at the show. He and Marcus Wainwright have claimed that the show built upon their original simplicity, but avoiding monotony by adding 'spring's extra element' - Vogue. This came in the form of Middle Eastern influence, whilst somehow retaining the quintessential Britishness that shot them into fashion stardom to begin with.

Oscar de la Renta - Spring/Summer 2013: Ready-To-Wear

I am FINALLY catching up on New York Fashion Week. My laptop has been out of charge and my charger out of sight for weeks now, leaving me with only my ancient desktop to maneuver the world wide web. At last, the charger has been found, and thus Vogue's website can be experienced in all of its high tech glory. Bring on the shows.

Oscar de la Renta's S/S '13 show featured no particular theme, sixty different looks, all with 'exquisite detail' and 'refined sophistication' - Vogue.

This show has made me want to invest in a series of magical pencil skirts, as well as dresses that reminisce Grace Kelly in her heyday. Absolutely beautiful.
