To Be by the Sea

Scrolling through tumblr this morning I had an insatiable urge to book a plane to somewhere with beautiful seaside. Granted, I have beautiful seaside on my doorstep, but something about these images made me want to go far far away and dip my toes in a foreign ocean. Every picture just radiates happiness and tranquility, so I thought I'd collate them in one post so that any time myself or a reader is feeling the need to drift away into a relaxed mental space, they're all here.

I've been wanting to travel again for a while now; I haven't left the country in well over a year and seeing these images makes me want to get out and explore the world as soon as physically possible. Nature is just so beautiful! For more beautiful photos of places, people and fashion (obvs), head over to my tumblr at www.tangibletreasures.tumblr.com

Does the seaside have the same calming effect on you that it does me? Where is next on your to travel list?

Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl: 'Illuminating Moments' for La Mer

If you've ever set virtual foot onto my blog before, you'll probably be aware of my major style/beauty/hair/accessory/soul crush on Olivia Palermo. Having posted once on some of my favourite looks of hers and again on her wedding spread for Brides magazine (which happens to be my third most popular posts ever, clearly you guys loved her bridal editorial too!) - plus I think you'll be pushed to find a Best Dressed list of mine that she hasn't graced - it's safe to say that she is an icon for me as far as fashion goes. Yet seeing her turn to beauty, or in this case skincare, is a step in one truly divine direction.

Featuring her equally easy on the eye husband Johannes Huebl, the couple begin La Mer's 'Illuminating Moments' series, telling the story of the two getting ready for an undoubtedly glamorous night out in the big bright city.

Although Olivia and Johannes are the main appeal for me, I'm really looking forward to seeing the next couple that La Mer have chosen for the next part of the series! OP and her hub look so beautiful and happy, I think it's about time to stalk their 'Sundays' posts all over again. Do I even need to say #relationshipgoals?

Do you adore this campaign and Olivia's style too?

Best Dressed: Golden Globes 2015

Sunday night marked the commencement of the most cinematic and sartorially important season of the year; award season. As well as those films minesweeping the awards themselves (I'm looking at you Boyhood, The Theory of Everything and Birdman), there was one trend in particular that clearly caught the attention of almost every lady due to step onto the Golden Globes red carpet: metallics. A wash of silver and black beading and sequins took to the ceremony, with everyone who's anyone working a little - hello Emma Stone - or a lot - HEY Julianne Moore - of sparkle. And I for one loved it! Hit Read More to see my top fashion picks of the night, and keep an eye out for my honorary male mention...

Emma Stone - Lanvin | Nicola Peltz - Balenciaga | Julianne Moore - Givenchy Haute Couture
Chrissy Teigen - Zuhair Murad | Bar Rafaeli - Kaufman Franco | Sienna Miller - Miu Miu
Behati Prinsloo - Kaufman Franco | Dakota Johnson - Chanel | Chanel Iman - Zuhair Murad
Amy Adams - Versace | My Husband Eddie Redmayne - Gucci | Alessandra Ambrosio - Zuhair Murad

I hope you liked my roundup of my personal favourite looks from last night's event, despite a lot of them running a long a similar vein! Who ever said there can be too much of a good thing? Don't forget to let me know in the comments below:

Best Dressed of 2014: Part 2

Welcome back to the second and final part of my Best Dressed of 2014 series! In Part 1 we saw my favourite looks and trends of Spring/Summer '14, whilst the second part of the year will demonstrate the hottest trends of Autumn/Winter. Winter whites, black dresses and plenty of shades of blue (is that a look forward to the coming Spring trends perhaps?), the style of the latter half of 2014 is infinitely reflective of the catwalk trends presented back in February. But never fear, for those who adore a pop of bold colour, we have Emily Blunt and Lily Collins to aspire to, as well as some multi-coloured magic with Keira Knighteley and Diane Kruger.

Keira Knightley - Chanel | Kim Kardashian - Michael Costello | Diane Kruger - Mary Katrantzou
Poppy Delevingne | Olivia Palermo - Burberry Prorsum | Jourdan Dunn
Jourdan Dunn - Zuhair Murad | Lily Aldridge - Tory Burch | Keira Knightley - Michael Van Der Ham
Amal Alamuddin - Stella McCartney | Olivia Palermo - Gestuz | Amal Alamuddin - Giambattista Valli
Blake Lively - Michael Kors | Leighton Meester - Balmain | Lily Collins - Elie Saab
Lindsay Ellingson |  | Naomi Watts - Mary Katrantzou | Felicity Jones - Elie Saab
Emily Blunt - Michael Kors | Julianne Moore - Tom Ford | Natasha Poly - Emilio Pucci
Lindsay Ellingson - Nonoo | Jourdan Dunn | Kate Hudson - Gucci Premiere
Hailee Steinfeld | Lily Collins - Maticevski | Rihanna

As I said in my Best Dressed of 2013 posts, one of the things I most enjoy about this roundup is the ability to see whose style prevails as my personal favourite. Naturally Olivia Palermo has made repeat appearances, but Victoria's Secret models Lindsay Ellingson, Lily Aldridge and Jourdan Dunn have crept in unexpectedly too, whilst the ever chic-in-Chanel Keira Knightley has taken more sartorial risks throughout 2014, and it couldn't have paid off better!

I hope you've all liked this annual roundup, and don't forget to let me know in the comments below...
