Family Sunday in the New Forest

As my Nanna visited from Spain a few weeks ago, my Mum and I decided that the three of us were going to exploit a rare Sunday off for me by going for a delicious roast dinner in the beautiful New Forest. It's so easy to forget that the forest is so close to home, but ten minutes on a dual carriageway out of Bournemouth and you'll find yourself surrounded by greenery, ponies and some of England's finest pub lunches. We chose to drive to a place called The Royal Oak at North Gorley which I really couldn't recommend enough. I was too hungry to remember to be a good blogger and take a snap of my main course (vegetarian quiche and meat-free bits of a roast dinner - amazing), but you are lucky that I was satiated enough to preserve the chocolate and hazelnut brownie in picture form. Get ready for your mouth to water. After our divine lunch and cuddles with the resident German Shepherd Roman (I fell in love, you don't want to know how many photos I took of that bear), we drove into Burley for more doggy cuddles and wanders around the little witchy gift shops.

What I'm Wearing:
Mint jacket - H&M | White collared blouse - Primark | Leigh jeans - Topshop | Tan T-Bars - Topshop

One of the gift shops was selling laminated vintage placemats, and my Mum actually picked one up that was a painting of where she grew up! To find a picture of your childhood village nearly 300 miles away is pretty crazy, so we had to get a snap of it.

I hope you all enjoyed this little look into my family Sunday, it was such a novelty to spend the day relaxing with family before settling down to the usual X Factor-Downton marathon. With Sundays like this it officially feels like Autumn and I couldn't be happier!
