PFW #8: Valentin Yudashkin, Valentino | Autumn/Winter 2014-15: Ready-To-Wear

The theme of waist not want not has cropped up in yet another A/W collection. Peplum and sash galore, Valentin Yudashkin's looks are all waist-occupied, despite their other variations in shape. An almost all black collection made for a stunning and elegant show, with the models featuring my go-to half up-half down hairstyle; its good to know that my lazy haircare will be bang on trend next season!

The first half of the show was uncharacteristically simple for Valentino, though the latter half sure put us back into the excessively adorned gowns we all know and adore. The minimalism was welcome though, making the collection stand out in what could be seen as a blur of incredibly embellished Valentino gowns of the last few seasons. I love the blouse and skirt look on the first row, whilst the Peter Pan mini-dresses around halfway into the collection need to land themselves in my wardrobe immediately. A girl can dream.
