Candice Swanepoel

The woman is a goddess and has been my favourite model for the last two years or so. Candice Swanepoel is one of the most prolific faces in the industry, and has received worldwide attention this month as the treasured wearer of this year's Fantasy Bra in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. With an archive of editorials, campaigns and endless VS work, I've had to be very selective in choosing some of my favourite photographs so not to make this a monster post. However I do feel a Candice street style post coming on soon! If you needed a new girl crush, you've found one.

Dear Santa...

Having attended the Leamington Spa Christmas Light Switch On last weekend (which you can see pictures from on my instagram) I can now say that it is officially the festive season! And what are mince pies and mulled wine without a list of goodies? Here are a few things that will find themselves on my Christmas list this year, as well as a few dream buys. Enjoy!

First of all are a few beauty buys, old and new. I have been wearing J'adore Dior for around five years now and it still remains to be my favourite scent. Unfortunately for me, it is very expensive and I only have a few precious drops left! So fingers crossed some fantastically generous person will make my Christmas with a new bottle. Another beauty replenishment is Benefit's They're Real! mascara; this is hands down the best mascara I have ever used and I'm finally running out having bought my last bottle in August. Mascaras are supposed to last approximately three months so that would make it time for a new one! Finally on my beauty list is Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream. I have heard its fantastic and never tried it; needless to say I am intrigued by the hype.

Laura Ashley Josette Purple Damask True 3 Recipe File

As usual there are masses of fashion books on my list. I tend to suggest them to my family as ideas every birthday or Christmas but they've always opted to buy other things (for which of course I am grateful!) I think if one of these doesn't fall out of Santa's sleigh this year I may have to purchase one myself. I also feel the need to explain the first two books; as some of you will know I am not a cook. At all. So it may surprise you to see a Laura Ashley recipe book on the list. However I spotted this in WHSmiths a few days ago and it is so pretty that its made me want to cook! The second of the books is a One Line a Day diary that I found on amazon. I'm terrible at keeping diaries as I never know what I should be writing, so one line might just be perfect for me. I'm also a very sentimental person so I imagine that looking back at the same day from up to five years ago would be a real treat for me!

GP Siren Stacking Ring - Green Onyx - Monica Vinader

Next up on the list are some beautiful pieces of jewellery! As per my favourite jeweler Zara Taylor has hit the list hard. These are just some of the many pieces I would love to receive for Christmas. I've had my eye on the leaf bracelet for over a year; I'm not much of a bracelet person (I tend to find one I like and wear it until it falls off), but this piece is so dainty and a little bit different to what you'd find in high street stores, I am very eager to get it on my wrist! The second is the beautiful crescent moon necklace which is similar to something I saw a friend wearing the other day and looked incredibly cute. Finally is a more expensive (and therefore more of a dream list piece!) by Monica Vinader. I have a bracelet by the jeweler that I was given for my 18th birthday and it really is beautiful, high quality jewellery. I spotted the lovely Lana Del Rey sporting a green ring back at a Mulberry dinner last year here and have been dying to get my hands on one similar ever since. I love the irregular shape of the band and think that the green onyx is exceptionally beautiful.

Finally here are some pretty pieces that didn't quite fit into a section! First is a Cath Kidston mug that I think I will probably end up buying myself as its too cute and festive to wait until Christmas day, and secondly are three pairs of Zara flats: a princess pair, an Audrey in Funny Face pair, and a city street pair. I couldn't pick one so thought I'd make a little collage of all three. Check out the Zara website for more shoespiration!

So that is it for my Christmas list, these things are all very beautiful and I do not by any means expect to receive them all! I would be happy enough to sit here and look at them forever let alone to find any of them under my tree.

(But if you are silly levels of wealthy and want to spoil a girl, feel free to send over a Chanel 2.55 or a Mulberry Jacquard scarf. If you want.)

Olivia Love

It having been over a week since I last blogged, I was racking my brains today for something to post about. Whilst scrolling aimlessly down my tumblr dashboard, I came across a picture of Olivia Palermo looking as chic as ever, and felt that it only made sense to dedicate a post to one of my favourite style icons. Having followed her style for a while now, I've noticed a certain courage in her wardrobe choices; she is not afraid to try something new, and doesn't fear for her femininity when she rocks a pair of trousers. So with that in mind, here are a few images of her best style moments, and the key components to Olivia imitation.

Olivia Palermo has got the most incredible collection of coats and jackets I may have ever seen. This is merely a sample of the outerwear she has to offer, my favourite by far being the Roberto Cavalli piece in the first picture. Staying warm has never looked better.

Next in my discovery of Palermo secrets was the belt. The girl has and will put a belt over absolutely anything. And look at the waist and style credentials she's got for it. Though I haven't made a section for them, keep an eye out for Olivia's other accessories; her taste is flawless and there's nothing like finishing a good look with a beautiful pair of sunglasses or a statement bag.

I sometimes personally feel that merely wearing a dress can seem a little lazy, which may explain why the queen of accessories and layering seems to favour the working together of tops and bottoms, rather than the ultimate feminine one piece. However when she does choose the dress, she dresses impeccably well. The mustard colour of the first piece looks beautiful against her tan, whilst the Cavalli number she wore in Cannes earlier this year is undeniably chic. Above all though, I think that the pink Valentino might be my favourite ever Olivia fashion moment, purely for how excessively feminine it is. It truly is so pretty, and paired with her tortoiseshell sunglasses I can't help but see her as a modern day Audrey as pictured above.

Though I've now covered the main components of Olivia Palermo's endlessly chic style - killer coats, belting everything and rare but fabulous dresses - I feel there are other elements of her wardrobe that are definitely worth looking at. Here are a few shots of her in an array of shorts, skirts, drop waists and jeans; all displaying her sensational ability to create perfectly assembled outfits.
